Harvey Mudd College
Challenge: Harvey Mudd College decided to make a commitment to meet the needs of both internal and external audiences in a web-first environment. mStoner joined HMC to help ensure that the Mudd community was accurately portrayed on the site, lay the technical groundwork for future growth, and build understanding about role the web should play in the college community.
Solution: mStoner brought to HMC its visitor-centric philosophy: the idea of designing sites around what visitors are looking for, rather than basing the structure on campus heirarchies. After identifying Harvey Mudd’s key audiences, the mStoner team helped to shape and build a site that would answer their needs. Content suggestions helped to incorporate new features and imagery, and a new design brought it all to life. A content management system on the back end allows the HMC team to easily maintain and grow the new site.
Results: Harvey Mudd’s new site is lively, engaging, and specifically tailored to the interests of the HMC audience. It provides key information to prospective students and potential donors, as well as serving the needs of on-campus visitors.
