Kevin Zink Senior Consultant
Hello, I’m Kevin.
A bit about myself. I have been interfacing with social media before it was managed through WWIV and a handful of 2400-baud modems (picture “WarGames” with Matthew Broderick) and have been building websites—primarily higher education, nonprofit, and eCommerce sites/applications—since the inception of Mosaic. I still remember my “discovery” of animated .gifs and knew, at that point, that the possibilities of the web were endless.
I have an insatiable appetite for any gadget and find that if I am not working on technology I am playing with technology. Despite constantly looking to what the future will bring, I remain faithfully nostalgic—I still watch cartoons and am waiting for neon to make a resurgence.
During my studies, I obtained a degree in psychology with an emphasis on human memory and cognition—knowledge that I now put to good use when designing and implementing easily understood, highly accessible, and visually delightful websites.
Throughout the course of a project, I help provide the technical architecture required to integrate disparate systems together in a logical way. My focus, however, is on customizing content management and search/indexing systems so that they are elegant, intuitive, and extensible.
My project portfolio—which has gotten fairly large over the last 15 years—includes:
- Yale Law School
- The American Dental Association
- Nevada State College
- The College of William & Mary
- The Fashion Institute of Technology
- Princeton University Undergraduate Admissions
- Oakton Community College
- Columbia College Chicago
- Widener Law
- Christopher Newport University
These sites are my digital offspring so I can’t play favorites. I feel that every site has something great to offer and a solid foundation that our clients can continue to build upon.
