James B. Hyatt Executive Producer/Project Manager
I’ve been with mStoner in some capacity since close to the beginning—the firm’s first big web development project. I’ve conducted intake sessions, written strategies, planned information architectures, written copy, conducted usability testing, migrated content, coded HTML, and managed projects in our famous high-touch style.
But I consider myself more of the “ghost in the machine” than a public face of mStoner. You might not see me often, but I’m in the background keeping things moving ahead and checking things off our to-do lists as we move toward launch and project conclusion.
As mStoner further develops its multimedia practice, I’ll also offer insights and advise as to what will work best for your institution and your site(s): adapting existing video and other rich media elements; producing new rich media content; and/or delivering this in varied but efficient, reliable, and cost-effective ways.
In other words, we won’t push you onto the bleeding edge—because, well, there’s a lot of bleeding involved—but we will help you move to the leading edge, in a way that’s collaborative, smart, and sustainable.
I hold a BA in English with a minor in environmental engineering management from NC State University, but I also did some undergraduate work at UNC—so I pull for both teams until they play each other, then I root for the underdog.
